Yahir Mieses didn't just choose the coffee industry; he inherited its legacy. Hailing from a coffee-producing family in the lush, high-altitude region of Oxapampa, Pasco, his understanding of the bean begins in the soil. He knows firsthand the immense labor, risk, and dedication required at the farm level before a single cherry is ever harvested.

Since entering the specialty coffee sector professionally in 2014, Yahir has relentlessly pursued mastery across every link of the value chain. He didn't settle for understanding just one variable. Instead, he became a triple-threat: an expert Barista, Roaster, and Cupper (sensory analyst). This holistic, seed-to-cup perspective allows him to speak the language of the producer, the roaster, and the final consumer with equal fluency.

Today, Yahir channels that vast experience into his role as a Trainer and After-Sales Specialist at Saba Equipamiento, Aillio’s trusted distributor in Peru. Much like a bridge between technology and technique, his daily work revolves around empowering other coffee professionals. He doesn't just install equipment; he trains roasters, troubleshoots profiles, and ensures that the local community has the technical support they need to succeed.

Beyond his technical role, Yahir is a fierce advocate for his country's coffee culture. He is a constant presence at national events, tirelessly working to promote the domestic consumption of specialty coffee within Peru. For decades, the best Latin American coffees were exported, leaving the producing countries with lower-quality reserves. Yahir is actively fighting to change that narrative.

As an Aillio Ambassador, Yahir brings his technical expertise, his family's agronomic heritage, and an unwavering conviction to the Collective: he firmly believes that Peruvian coffee has the potential to be the absolute best in the world.
